About Us
In 1932, Israel Brown opened a trucking business called National Hauling in Vineland, NJ. He started with one truck. A government contract with the General Services Administration during World War II helped the company grow and after the war National Hauling won a contract with the Veterans Administration.
Israel Brown formed Vineland Construction Company in 1939 and began building warehouses and truck terminals to support the business.
In 1941,
Israel's son, Bernard, joined the company. Bernard Brown transformed a regional trucking company into a national transportation and distribution company with facilities located across the
US and
Canada. National Hauling was rebranded as National Freight and
National
Distribution
Centers, and is now known as NFI.
As Bernard Brown continued to build the truck maintenance and distribution centers, Vineland Construction's real estate holdings expanded. At the same time he invested in land and built commercial office and shopping centers in southern
New Jersey. Vineland Construction evolved into a full service real estate company providing construction, development, property management, financing and leasing services.
Today, Vineland Construction develops, manages, and leases commercial real estate to affiliated and unaffiliated companies located along the east coast. Please contact us to discuss your commercial real estate requirements.
